Lexie Chaudhuri is the type of manager I hope every young woman gets to have at the beginning of her career. Someone to take her seriously, to push her, and to mentor her. Lexie does all of these things and more, and I hope this serves as a reminder to celebrate the women that inspire us all year long.

Lexie wears many hats – a PR strategist, an MBA holder, a mentor, and a new mom. When I met her a year and a half ago, she immediately struck me as someone I wanted to work with.

After beginning her career at Edelman she has worked on public relations campaigns across a multitude of industries including advertising, CPG, and finance. She credits her time at Edelman for giving her foundational knowledge to build her career on, most importantly, for teaching her the value of trust.

Her experience working for clients in the financial sector solidified her decision to go back to school for her Master’s of Business Administration. It is impossible not to notice the business acumen Lexie brings to her strategy. She looks at public relations through a business lens and I’ve seen firsthand the way it benefits not only our clients, but our internal team as well. While most of us lean into creative strengths, Lexie offers an analytical perspective to our team and never lets us lose sight of the big picture and long-term goals.

Lexie is thoughtful and not deterred by a challenge. She inspires collaboration and camaraderie among our team and we can always count on her to highlight our successes if we are ever too shy to do it ourselves. From my perspective as a woman in the early stages of her career, it is a very powerful thing to have a manager that knows the value she brings to the table, and does whatever she can to make sure you know yours as well.

Understanding the value of herself and those around her is one of Lexie’s biggest strengths, as an account director and as a mentor. She makes sure that the people on our team have the chance to shine in areas we are passionate about, all the while making sure we never lose sight of the things that are of value to our clients.
